Waking up in the middle of the night bawling my eyes out?

Ok well I'm a 15 year old male and last night I experienced something I never have before. I woke up crying from a dream that was not particularly sad at all. I dreamed I was at school, and my schedule was all messed up, and I couldn't find the right place to be. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't find my place and only encountered rude and hateful people. Finally, I found the right place to be, and felt what I can only describe as unconditional love. I've seriously never felt that much emotion in my waking life. It was nothing but pure love I felt. I wanted to stay there but instead I woke up absolutely bawling my eyes out.Any ideas why i would have this dream? I do have a long history of depression and I'm not sure if that could be it's roots?
