Getting married - again?

Hey! My husband and I have been married for a year and a half. When we got married, we had pushed our date up a whole year because he was getting deployed. We were just going to get married at the courthouse and then have a wedding later, but my mom said "you're gonna regret doing that!" so we threw together our wedding in a month and a half. I didn't get to "find" my perfect dress, (I ordered it online so I didn't even try it on first!), we only had our immediate family and closest friends there because we had the ceremony at my aunt's house, and we felt so bad having to cut people out (we originally had 100+ on the guest list) and obviously no reception or dancing or anything afterward. We spent the night at a nearby hotel and my husband had to leave the very next day (so no honeymoon). Needless to say it was not exactly the wedding of our dreams! My question for y'all is - is it okay to have our wedding again, but something bigger and more of a "first" type wedding this time? Or since we're already married is that something that isn't "proper"? I know we should just do what we want but I wanted to get some opinions.. thanks in advance!!
